Dr. Felix established Growing Minds Pediatric Neuropsychology, LLC to serve the community of Eugene and the surrounding area. She has experience evaluating children and adolescents with concerns related to development, learning, and a medical condition (such as premature birth, traumatic brain injury, congenital heart defects, epilepsy, etc.). She is eager to help you and your family.

Education and Training

Dr. Felix earned her PhD in Clinical Psychology from the Illinois Institute of Technology. As part of her doctoral program, she completed a one year American Psychological Association approved predoctoral internship in Neuropsychology at the University of Chicago Medical Center. There, she conducted comprehensive evaluations in children with a variety of medical conditions (i.e., epilepsy, stroke, hydrocephalus, Chiari malformations, neurofibromatosis) and neurodevelopmental conditions (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Intellectual Disability, Learning Disorders). 

Following her doctorate, Dr. Felix completed a two year post-doctoral fellowship in Pediatric Rehabilitation Psychology and Neuropsychology at the University of Michigan Medical Center, providing inpatient and outpatient services.  She completed outpatient evaluations in children and adolescents with medical conditions such as traumatic brain injury, cerebral palsy, and stroke, as well as those with neurodevelopmental conditions such as Autism Spectrum Disorders, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, and Learning Disorders.  She also provided evaluations as part of a Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders clinic.

Professional Experience and Service

After completing her fellowship in 2012, Dr. Felix joined the medical staff at Seattle Children’s Hospital in the department of Rehabilitation.  There, she provided inpatient and outpatient services to children with complex medical needs, including traumatic brain injuries, stroke, cerebral palsy, seizures/epilepsy, brain tumors, congenital heart defects, and other medical conditions impacting the central nervous system.

In 2019, Dr. Felix joined Samaritan Health Services in Corvallis and Albany, Oregon, providing comprehensive outpatient evaluations to children with neurodevelopmental conditions, such as Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Learning Disorders, and Autism Spectrum Disorders, as well as medical conditions, such as epilepsy, prenatal substance exposures, and congenital heart defects. 

In 2021, Dr. Felix relocated to Eugene, Oregon and joined a private practice, Neuropsychological Services of Oregon, LLC in Springfield, Oregon before deciding to venture on her own and establish Growing Minds Pediatric Neuropsychology, LLC. 

Dr. Felix continues to provide lectures to trainees in neuropsychology, as well as the community. She is a member of the American Academy of Clinical Neuropsychology, the Pacific Northwest Neuropsychological Society, the Oregon Psychological Association, and the International Neuropsychological Society.

Board Certification

Dr. Felix is licensed as a
psychologist in the state of Oregon. She follows principles, policies, and
practices supported by the American Academy of Clinical Neuropsychology (AACN).
Thus, she has obtained board certification in Clinical Neuropsychology through
the American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP), as well as subspecialty
board certification in Pediatric Clinical Neuropsychology. 

Personal Life

In her spare time, Dr. Felix spends time with her partner, two children, and dogs. She enjoys exploring Oregon’s beautiful outdoors, hiking and camping, as well as running and yoga.  She is a gardener and completed a 6 month internship in organic agriculture in 2016.
